‘Irish times’ informs: Ireland has next to last place among industrial countries by level of living

The worst situation in the ‘civilized world’ is only… in the USA. The number of people under the poverty line in Ireland is 15,3%, in the USA- 16,5%.

The level of poverty consists of three basic parameters: by expectation of duration of life for the people being over 60-aged, level of literacy, and long- term unemployment. The best called countries are Sweden, Holland, Germany, Norway.

The list of the industrial countries is closed with the USA, Ireland and = England. The Irish commentators complain about ‘functional illiteracy’ ( almost 23% ) of the population, which hardly can read the account for an apartment or understand the instruction on application of medicine, written on the packing.

According to the experts of the UN the most ‘high- quality’ life is in Canada. The 22 last places of 174 presented there are African countries. What about Russia- there aren’t any information. But it is possible to note in this connection: in 85 countries the level of living has been falling for the last decade. It is easy to guess that they mean our country, too.

Opposite to it there are tree first countries- billionaires having the sum of richness more than all developing countries with their 600 mln population do. Is it normal? Should it be? Is it the certificate of good brains and hard work? … Note some facts, please:

One known computer company sells each its program for $ 9000 while the cost price is $ 75…All workers must be silent about these proportions.

Or the largest part of money in the world of scientific researches is spent for new kinds of cosmetics and ‘slowly ripening tomatoes’ instead of being directed on search of a vaccine against malaria, for example…

‘There is something wrong in the kingdom’, there is something wrong in the Earth…
