Annual drumcree parade was quiet

The march of the Portadown Orange Order of the Northern Ireland has finished quite peacefully. The participants of the demonstration came to the special razor wire fences which the security forces had built before to keep trouble- makers from crossing over to the Catholic side. The leaders of the Order called for from their supporters to refrain from violence. After handing the written protest against crossing the rote, the marchers peacefully left. At the night there were skirmishes between policemen and protestants, but they were insignificant in comparison with past years.
